Number One Seat In The Stadium!
One thing that slipped through the cracks in my absence was my Michigan Game Report. Thinking back, I have sat or been many places in Ohio Stadium over the course of this project - The Press Box, The Victory Bell Tower, Student Section South Stands, C Deck, Double AA, next to the officer on the North Towers, and shucks even the Tony Premium Seats (boring!). I've been in the Recruiting Room, the Interview Room, the Varsity O Room, the Visitors Locker Room, the Huntington Club, and the Band Room. Heck I even slipped in and sat a bit in the Coaches Box and the Broadcast Booth after one of the games, just to get the feel of the place.
But for Michigan game, this year, I must confess, I was in the number one seat! Well, real close anyway. You see I had Seat One, Section One. All I needed was Row One for a Trifecta. I had row five, but lets call that close enough! Now seat one, section one, row five is smack dab in the middle of the north end of Ohio Stadium. If you started in exact the middle of the south goal post, and painted a line through the exact middle of the north goal post, well it would have run right through the flagpole, up the Ramp, touched my right cheek, and split the Rotunda in two exact pieces. (Well okay, I stipulate that my right "cheek" probably hung over the line, and not by a small bit!) In any case, it was just a great seat. I'll see if I can figure out how to post a pic!
