If you want a good laugh go to the O-zone and read Brandon Castel's "Top Offensive Position Battles of Camp." It's a hoot!
Well not the article. Actually I thought that was pretty well done. It was a fair handed assessment of what he has observed in the battles in camp that the press have been privy to. I thought he was objective, admitted there is a lot of practice to be played before these things are yet settled, pointed out what each player brought to the table and what they were working to improve. So good job reporting the news Brandon.
The hoot started with the first three "commentators" posting via facebook. One guy was from Colorado, one from South Carolina, and the third from Mt. Vernon. I am pretty sure none of them could see the practice field from where they sat, and doubly sure none of them had been inside the gates to see what was actually going on on it. But still they had all the answers....everything Fickell was doing wrong, why the QB race is rigged, who should be playing that isn't, even what coach should be teaching them. Gee, I wonder why the coaches are working 24 hours a day through this fall camp to get things figured out for the best of the team....maybe they should just kick back and read the O-zone fan posts.
As I said, it's a hoot!
