Sometimes someone's word still means something.

I know that is hard for all the jaded sportswriters and Sports Centers talking heads to understand. Maybe that is why they looked down their noses and rolled their eyeballs when Coach Tressel announced before the sugar bowl that the five had to pledge to be back before they made the trip.

Of course many did more than look down their nose, and wrote some pretty nasty things.

Well, with Coach T's announcement today that all five are indeed going to be back, I will be reading the papers tomorrow and listening to ESPN, looking for some mea culpas.

Don't hold your breath.
