Saturday was a beautiful night to be in Ross Ade Stadium!...especially when you sit with a whole row of Buckeye fans mixed in among the Boilermakers. Everything went great until the Purdue guy behind us yanked the scarlet and gray Ohio State towel that my wife was waving away from her. (Apparently she accidentally hit him). She yanked it back and I thought I was going to have to go get security, and it wasn’t for her protection!!! Moral of the story...don’t mess with a mild mannered Buckeye Grandma when she is waving her OSU rally towel!!
Otherwise we were treated very well and I hope Ohio State fans do the same with our opponents when they come to the Horseshoe. When you go to a visiting stadium, it makes you think about how people feel when they come to ours.
One more thing, we are spoiled with the way Ohio State handles a crowd compared to other places. It took us 1 hour and 20 minutes to get out of town. The only saving grace was we got behind the big, red, really cool, OSU equipment semi and all I had to do was follow it out of town and into the night...watching the big red letters painted on the back that say “Our honor defend, we will fight to the end, O-HI-O!
That we did!
