You may have noticed this space was pretty quiet this past week. That’s because I was busy putting in 12 and 14 hours days driving back and forth to Columbus for my day job, which really pays the bills. I will be traveling to Washington D.C. this week to represent our agency in a briefing before a Congresswoman and I was busy readying our advance materials for the presentation. I say that not to boast, but to point out that I owe that opportunity to my Ohio State education. My Dad’s family came out of the hills of Kentucky as manual laborers during the depression. Were he still with us, he would be most proud that his son was going to be listened to in the halls of Congress. I owe that honor to him, Mom, and to OSU and am proud to say so.
